Full-Time Companion / Activity Partner for Adult with Autism (PLEASE READ FULLY)
$30/hour + Full Benefits, Paid Vacation & Sick Time
We are looking for a fun, upbeat, energetic, and genuinely kind person to spend time with a 30-year-old adult male with Autism.
This is NOT a clinical or traditional caregiver position, and professional caregiving experience is not required. We are looking for the right personality — someone bubbly, happy, active, funny, patient, and creative who enjoys making someone else’s day more enjoyable.
Think companion, activity partner, and friend.
The ideal person is someone who can walk in with positive energy and say, “What should we do today?” Whether that’s watching a movie together, playing a game, doing arts & crafts, taking a walk, going for a drive to grab a snack, shopping, running an errand, or coming up with a fun new activity.
What You’ll Do
- Spend quality time together and provide companionship
- Watch movies and shows together
- Play games and do arts & crafts
- Go for walks and enjoy activities outside the home
- Drive out for snacks, lunch, shopping, or simple outings
- Come up with creative and fun things to do
- Encourage conversation, laughter, and positive social interaction
- Prepare simple meals or snacks when needed
- Help make his day active, enjoyable, and engaging
Who We’re Looking For
Previous experience or familiarity interacting with individuals with Autism is a definite plus, but not required. If you understand how to communicate, engage, and be patient with someone on the Autism spectrum, we would love to hear from you.

You should be:
- Bubbly, happy, and energetic
- Outgoing and friendly
- Funny and able to make someone laugh
- Creative and good at thinking of fun activities
- Patient, compassionate, and respectful
- Active and willing to get out of the house
- Dependable and punctual
- Experience or familiarity with Autism is a definite plus
- Comfortable interacting and communicating with an adult with Autism
- A good communicator
Professional caregiving experience is NOT required. We are primarily looking for the right personality—someone naturally caring, responsible, patient, engaging, and genuinely interested in building a positive companionship.
Requirements
- Clean background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have your own reliable car — a car is required for this position
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable driving to activities, stores, restaurants, etc.
Schedule
Sunday: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM — Forest Hills, Queens
Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM — Great Neck
Monday–Thursday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM — Great Neck
Some flexibility may be available.
Compensation & Benefits
$30 per hour
Plus:
